I love event photography and portraiture mixed together. The style Walcott Imaging has developed for weddings is one of the most satisfying ways to take pictures for me. It is a combination of candid and posed images all around and within places and things that are important to those I am shooting for. I try to promote locations for my portrait sessions that have interesting backgrounds and nice lighting as well as some kind of connection to the subject. It’s just another layer to the photographs. I would really like to try to bring all of these interests together by taking pictures at smaller events. Say your child is turning 1 and you were planning on getting his pictures taken to mark the event. Why not do the session on location during the party? Grandpa and Grandma might be there for a photo. Cake gets smeared all over. Portraits before and after. Family pictures. I think this would be a riot! If you do, too, invite me! I’ll do the first one for free!
