What works for you?

We have been very happy with our decision to make the digital rights to our images available over two years ago. I used to worry about the quality of our images and the way they would go out into the world. Now that people are able to print, post and enjoy all of their images, I’m not sure why I cared so much. It doesn’t make sense for me to cling to your images. You should be the one’s to do that!

I often get asked about good printing companies from those who have their own jpg’s. Here are three sites that seem to work:

Has anyone found anyone else that is great to work with? Any cool options? Please share!

Backward and Forward : Reflecting @ Five Years

People as they are, things as they happen. Documenting moments in time is what we do! As we approach five years as photographers, it has been fun to look back at where we’ve been. We’ve grown in experience, technological expertise, our equipment has been updated, our eyes have become trained. We no longer panic when it seems nothing is happening at an event and take pictures all over the place to compensate; instead we have learned to sit, wait and watch. In looking back, improvement in our current work is definitely noticeable, but there is a sort of sweetness to those first photographs. The one’s you have to try over and over to get. The shot you had never taken before like a bride putting on her wedding dress or a father gripping his daughters hand before escorting her down the aisle. It was more exhilarating then, but I’m better at it now. I suppose there are great things about both “places” that I have been.

Recent Awards

I just got an email from Pete at the The Image Group and he informed me that some of the work that we did for the YMCA with The Image Group won an Addy Award. It is always nice to have work recognized – although we only played a minor role.

It looks like Image Group has also recently updated its website which looks pretty slick. I might be a little biased as we did the Staff Pictures as well as 4 of the 6 images on the home page.

Cheers to the Image Group!
