This is Kate your Client Advocate. I am here to help you with anything relating to Walcott Imaging. Do you have a question? Let me know and I will answer. Would you like some help ordering prints? I can walk you through it step-by-step. Not convinced by the AMAZING talent of Lisa and Rob? Lets setup a face to face and I will dazzle you with their work and also show you tangible options such as albums and add-ons.
Something else that I can do for you is help you find the best option possible to fit your needs along with the most financially sound choice for you. Whether it is choosing a package that offers you GREAT deals on your prints (such as the Senior Favorite) or setting up incremental photoshoots for the b-e-a-utiful new addition to your family so that the first year of his/her life is well documented, I’m your Advocate. I will work my hardest to make your experience with Walcott Imaging the best possible.
So now it is time to contact me and let me help you with whatever you might need. I will be writing specific posts about each of these options in the coming weeks/months, but if you just can’t wait let me know and I can send more information your way now.
If you loved your pictures taken by Walcott Imaging get the word out! We are offering $25 in print credit to anyone who posts a link to your images on our website (or post the images) plus positive endorsement of the images you love and/or your positive experience with Walcott Imaging. Post in at least two different places (facebook, twitter, your blog, flickr…) and email me links to your posts then I will pass the credit your way!
Here’s an example:
I absolutely love these pictures because Lisa was able to capture Craig’s real smile rather than his fake cheesy smile. I am not a fan of getting my picture taken and I was totally comfortable throughout the entire shoot! Our engagement session was a great way to start off our wedding photography experience with Walcott Imaging.
In my opinion the best sessions are custom location senior sessions. Michigan is full of unique spots that make for great photos. Cheers to Jenna at her family pig farm

If you are a regular visitor to this site you may have noticed that there are a few changes going on. Hopefully everything is working as it should, but if you see something messed up please don’t hesitate to tell me.
We have a number of things that we still need to update so don’t forget to check back when you have time.
A short while ago I gave a photography demonstration at West Middle School and I was reminded of the Dove Evolution ad that I had seen earlier on YouTube.
Here is the ad if you haven’t seen it:
I think the ad does a great job of revealing how deceptive a photograph can be.
It is probably equally important to note that although Dove seems to promote “natural beauty” the owners of Dove (Unilever) also own the company Axe – whose ads are often a complete contradiction to the Dove ads.
We recently set up a WalcottImaging facebook group for our clients to join. The benefit of being in the group is that you can request to get digital copies of your favorite images to have posted on facebook. Feel free to use the images for your profile picture or for other online reasons as well.
Let us introduce to you the Walcott Imaging Be Happy guarantee.
It is actually pretty simple – you will be happy with your prints and service, we guarantee it.
If your prints come in and they don’t make you happy, just tell us and we will make it right. No matter how small the problem is, we want you 100% happy – it is the WalcottImaging way.
You can wear what you want to get your pictures taken, I just thought I would jot down some of my thoughts.
There are a few traditional rules that I have heard:
If you wear long sleeves and long pants you will be showing less skin. Showing less skin means that there is less “competition” for attention to your face.
Solid colors are less distracting and less busy than patterns. Again, less clothing distraction equals more attention to the face.
If you are in a group, continuity is important. You can achieve continuity through similar colors, tonal values or through complimentary colors… it doesn’t matter how you do it.
All that being said, sometimes traditional is boring. Especially if you are getting a portrait by yourself I think it is important to show off some personal flare, wear your favorite outfit, make yourself look good. Clothing should help reinforce your personality, if you are a loud personality why would you wear khakis and a white long sleeve shirt?
