Nora and Drew Wedding Photography
Nora and Drew got married in mid July with their ceremony in Holland at Central Ave Christian Reformed Church and their reception at the Colonial Clock Building in Zeeland. We’ve never shot at the Colonial Clock Building for a wedding and I guess they don’t host weddings there often, but the spaces were great and seemed like they were made for it. There was a lot of room to move around and historical building remnants to look at, as well as nice lighting (appreciated especially on the photography end).
Nora and Drew had a good time in mind as they brought in our photobooth, had milk and cookies for dessert, hosted a rockin dance party and pulled in the “Weenie Wagon” for a late night snack. Congratulations, Nora and Drew! All the best to you two!

Bryant and Amanda Engagement Photography
Rob and I shot Amanda and Bryant’s engagement pictures last week on a beautiful, non-humid but very windy morning. I love shooting downtown between 7-8:30am as there are not many cars or people around and the light is bouncing all over the place making new photo “spots” compared to evening shooting–so fun!
Amanda is a photographer and we’re flattered that they have chosen us to shoot their wedding next summer. It was great to spend time with you both…cheers!

VanDuinen Kids Session
A few more pictures from the beginning of the summer, when the blog wasn’t updated as often as I would have liked to. Some seasons of the year are so hard to keep up on this kind of thing. Now that we’re in full swing of the wedding and portraiture season, I am finding it to be easier to regularly update. It’s more built into my daily life even though I’m busier than I was before.
Without further rambling, here are some pictures of the VanDuinen kids from this past May. We had a really nice walk through town and the Hope College Campus on a cool, early summer morning and totally beat the rain that happened moments after we finished the session.

Perry and Kaitlin Engaged!
We just got back from shooting a wedding in Bloomfield Hills and a visit to Cranbrook’s campus (where Lisa went to grad school)–it is always good to stop back in town.
Earlier this summer I met Kaitlin and Perry at Cranbrook for an engagement session. We are now looking forward to their wedding in Holland in a few weeks – the first official Fall wedding of this year!

Eli-Newborn Session
This session is from the beginning of the summer, but I didn’t get a chance to blog it until now. Eli lives in our house, so we’ve had the chance to watch him grow giving me a new perspective on what these newborn pictures mean. Time goes by and the little one’s change so quickly. I so enjoy being able to document the steps giving connections to times that have passed.
