September 4 on Windmill Island turned out to be a slightly cooler but really pleasant and sunny day giving us lots of outdoor shooting options. The bridal party was one of the most energetic I’ve ever seen. Everyone was so excited for Liz and Brady and had a really good time all day and night (the dance party was happenin). All the best to you both…Cheers!

Jason and Kelsey’s wedding the Detroit Metro area was a lot of fun to shoot. Kelsey has been finishing law school and taking boards so we actually have been in touch for quite awhile as they planned their wedding. It has been great to get to know both of them and then finally shoot their wedding. There were many meaningful touching such as Kelsey’s mom’s wedding dress being sewn into hers, pearls from the Philippines worn by the bridal party and as favors and sweet photo charms on Kelsey’s bouquet. The wedding was at the quaint St. Hugo of the Hills Stone Chapel in Bloomfield Hills, MI and the reception was at the Auburn Hills Marriott.

Nora and Drew got married in mid July with their ceremony in Holland at Central Ave Christian Reformed Church and their reception at the Colonial Clock Building in Zeeland. We’ve never shot at the Colonial Clock Building for a wedding and I guess they don’t host weddings there often, but the spaces were great and seemed like they were made for it. There was a lot of room to move around and historical building remnants to look at, as well as nice lighting (appreciated especially on the photography end).
Nora and Drew had a good time in mind as they brought in our photobooth, had milk and cookies for dessert, hosted a rockin dance party and pulled in the “Weenie Wagon” for a late night snack. Congratulations, Nora and Drew! All the best to you two!

Cara and Michael’s wedding in mid-June was a dream to shoot! The details were stunning and meaningful, the styling was interesting, but also very much “them”, the locations were quaint and rustic, but also personal, and there was a lot of fun events and guests. The farm where we took the portraits and where the reception was held is Cara’s family farm home in Holland near Overisel (just down the road from Dykhuis Farms). The reception consisted of homemade individual pies, a DJ and line dancing caller (locals may know the infamous Pam Volkers from Tulip Time’s Dutch Dancing), sparklers and fireworks. It was a very fun and memorable day. Belated congratulations to Cara and Michael! We wish you all the best!

Congratulations on your beautiful wedding! Cheers to your willingness to have fun, climb towers and have a cake fight!
